99 New Converts from Buddhism Attend Worship Service in Myanmar
Timothy Sui Lian Mang is president of Myanmar Biblical Baptist Fellowship in Yangon, Myanmar, and founded Biblical School of Theology in Myanmar in 1996. In the first month of 2012, God opened a new mission field in Kaya State in Myanmar. We could plant two small local churches there. There is a great hope for us to plant more churches and to win more souls in Kaya State. We had missionary conference Jan. 23–26 at Chaungtha Beach; 43 missionaries came from six states. It was a great time of sharing with each other what the Lord has done in our mission fields, and we studied leadership in the mission field. On Jan. 29, we had a second Yangon Area Biblical Churches Combined Worship Service at our Bible college with 358 people from our 12 churches; 99 percent of the people were new
converts from Buddism. We had a wonderful worship service with singing and preaching. After that, we had a meal.
I visited a house church in Pegu City, where our missionary Lai Bawi works. Five years ago
there were no Christians at all, and now there are 18 adult believers. The day I visited, one adult was baptized. There is great growth in that church.
Prayer Request
$2,000 is needed for our Soldier of Jesus Christ soul-winning outreach March—May. Please pray with us for this need.
Yours in His vineyard,
Timothy Sui Lian Mang

Dansoman Baptist Academy Building Started in Ghana; Funds Needed to Complete

Alfred Marshall Adjaottor is a pastor of Dansoman Baptist Church, Ghana, West Africa, affiliated with the Association of Fundamental Baptist Churches in Ghana.
The weeks leading to Christmas and the end of the year are always busy in Ghana with lots of activities—funerals, weddings, revival meetings, and more. We always spend the night of Dec. 31 at church till the Lord ushers us into the new year. The church was fully packed with both familiar and unfamiliar faces. The Word of God was powerfully but briefly preached.
The men, women, and youth fellowships had wonderful meetings. I have had the opportunity to preach at many of those meetings. Earlier this year I taught the youth on end times. It amazed me that some of them had never heard about such things as the Rapture and Tribulation. One meeting was definitely not enough to answer their curious questions; I had to rush from a Bible club last Friday in order to meet with them again.
The block work for the Dansoman Baptist Academy building is now complete. Praise God! At this point we have redeemed a bit of the lost glory and respect with the community. A few members
reported that people were making delightful comments, after seeing the school block taking shape. Someone commented, “It is a giant leap.” They lamented how the building was left for years to dilapidate. Enrollment, therefore, is slowly improving. We still have much work to do—plastering, floors, frames, windows, doors, and so on. Money that was borrowed and raised for the project has been depleted; it will take some $50,000 more to finish. We shall tread slowly, trusting in the power of God.
Our maiden “functional leaders” meeting last week was marvelous. The idea is to meet frequently with members whose ministry affects the lives of others. I hope to inspire Sunday School teachers, fellowship and group leaders, and deacons to inspire others, as Paul instructed Timothy in 2 Timothy 2:2. Such an endeavor fits our theme for the year, “Zealous of good works” (Titus 2:14).
Praise the Lord for bringing us this far. Thank you for praying with us.

Building Project in East Godavari, India, Needs Funding

The New Life Regular Baptist Society Association is a small association of churches in Andhra Pradesh, India, that has a heart for church planting in the outlying village. Pastor John Victor Sakile regularly conducts services with small groups of people during this formative time of their church plant.
For 15 years the Indian association has been struggling to obtain land for a church building. After much prayer, the association has purchased property in a rural area but now needs to construct a building. Pastor Sakile’s burden and desire is that “the whole village” be saved. Thirty kilometers away, Pastor Sakile’s son Prasad oversees
worship services in a remote fishing village. “This village also be must saved,” Pastor John Sakile says. “Please pray for these two villages.”
“I hope that our IPFBM partners will show their [generosity] for Indian churches. . . . I am praying for your kind response on this church construction project,” Pastor Sakile says, noting that he and his church are praying for the GARBC/IPFBM family. The Sakiles are fully depending upon God, knowing that He will provide miraculously.
